A Joyful Community

Missions

Our active Church community is engaged in a variety of outreach programs.  As part of the United Methodist Church, we participate in a coordinated response to human need all over the world.  The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) helps all of us with awareness and response to those needs.  Our congregation in Wilton is offered choices and opportunities to respond with finances, time, and material to additional projects.  Recently, these have included:

  • New York Annual Conference Disaster Response - Hurricane Katrina Relief Mission Trips in August 2006 and February 2007
  • Appalachian Service Project - some of our youth and adult chaperones travel for a week to Tennessee, West Virginia or Kentucky during the summer to help families repair their homes
  • Wilton Social Services - on-going support
  • Gift Sharing with the elderly and with families
  • Habitiat for Humanity - restoring homes in Bridgeport and Danbury
  • Washington, DC, Soup Kitchen - Zion's Hill youth provide assistance in cooperation with local DC churches
We make every effort to have mission awareness and participation a priority and available to all age groups.
